FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

Simple answers for donors, runners and teams joining Run for Life 2026. Donations remain on Life Community fundraising platform, while this portal helps people find runners, track progress and record run/walk activity.

Run / Walk Participation

Recording your activity

Is there an actual race day?
Yes. The official race day is 21 November 2026 (Saturday), from 7:00am to 11:00am, at Silver Garden, Gardens by the Bay. However, Run For Life 2026 is more than a one-day event — participants can start recording their own run/walk activities after registering and continue fundraising until 31 December 2026.
Can I walk instead of run?
Yes. Run For Life 2026 is designed to be inclusive. Participants can complete their run/walk activities at their own pace after registering, then come together to celebrate on race day.
When can I start logging my activities?
You can start logging your run/walk activities as soon as your registration is completed through your runner dashboard.
Can I continue logging activities after race day?
Yes. Race day is our community celebration, but your fundraising journey doesn’t have to end there. You can continue logging your run/walk activities until 31 December 2026 to work towards your personal distance goals and continue encouraging donations for your fundraising campaign.
How do runners record distance?
Log in to your runner dashboard and record your run/walk either by entering it manually or by uploading a screenshot clearly showing the date, distance and duration from Strava, Garmin, Apple Fitness or another fitness app.
What activities can I log?
You can log running, walking, or a combination of both (Run/Walk).
Can I edit or remove an activity after submitting it?
Yes. You can delete an activity entry from your runner dashboard. If you’ve made a mistake, simply delete the incorrect entry and submit a new one.
Donations and Life Community Fundraising Platform

Supporting a runner or team

Where do donations go?
Donations are made through each runner’s or team’s verified Life Community fundraising platform page. This website helps supporters discover runner stories, while the Life Community fundraising platform securely processes donations, donor records and tax receipts.
Why does the Donate button open the Life Community fundraising platform?
The Life Community fundraising platform is the official donation platform. It securely manages donation processing, donor records and tax receipts separately from this website.
Can I support more than one runner?
Yes. You can browse the supporter directory and donate to as many runners or teams as you’d like through their individual fundraising pages.
How can I report a suspicious campaign?
Please contact our team and we’ll investigate the matter.
How do I know my donation will be used appropriately?
Life Community is an NCSS member and a Charity Transparency Award recipient. All funds raised support our programmes serving children, youths and families from low-income and vulnerable backgrounds.
Are my donations tax-deductible?
Yes, donations are tax-deductible if you provide your full NRIC, FIN, or UEN, along with your name at the point of donation on the website. Eligible donors (both individuals and corporates) will receive a tax deduction of 2.5 times the donated amount. Please refer to IRAS guidelines for more information.
Fundraising Commitment

Your fundraising target

What is the minimum fundraising commitment?
Each participant is encouraged to raise a minimum of S$1,000 to support Life Community’s work and maximise the impact of the campaign.
Is the fundraising commitment compulsory?
The fundraising commitment is an important part of participating. We encourage every participant to do their best to achieve the target.
Will I receive support?
Yes! We’ll support you throughout your fundraising journey with fundraising tips and resources, sample messages and social media templates, regular progress updates, and guidance from our team whenever you need it.
What if I’m struggling to reach my target?
Please let us know early. We’re happy to share ideas, provide additional support, and help you reach your goal.
What happens if I don’t reach S$1,000?
We understand that everyone’s circumstances are different. If you’ve made a genuine effort but are unable to reach the target, simply speak with us. We’ll review each situation individually and work with you on the best way forward.
Can friends continue donating after I reach my fundraising goal?
Absolutely! Your fundraising campaign remains open until 31 December 2026. Every donation continues supporting Life Community’s work, even after you’ve achieved your target.
Why is there a fundraising commitment?
The fundraising commitment helps raise vital funds while encouraging participants to champion the cause within their own networks. Every conversation and donation helps create a greater impact.

Signing up and paying your fee

How do I register?

Can I edit my registration after submitting?
You can update your login email and certain profile details through your runner dashboard. For other registration changes, please contact us.

What happens if there’s bad weather on race day?

All registered participants will receive:
  • Event T-shirt

  • Goodie Bag
Can I change my T-shirt size after registration?

Health and Safety

Staying safe on race day

Will medical assistance be available on race day?
Yes. Medical support teams and event marshals will be stationed along the route to help ensure participants’ safety. Please follow their instructions and take the necessary precautions while participating.
Should I participate if I’m feeling unwell?
Please exercise personal responsibility and do not participate if you’re feeling unwell or have been advised by a medical professional not to.
Corporate Registration

Registering your company

How does corporate registration work?
Register your company and, once approved, you’ll receive a shareable participant registration link. Each employee completes their own contact details, emergency contact, T-shirt size and consent form through that link.
Do my company's runners need to register on the main Registration page themselves?
No. Only your company registers upfront, under Corporate / Sponsor. Once approved, your registered contact person receives a unique participant link to share with your runners — each of them uses that link to submit their own contact details, emergency contact, T-shirt size and consent, without going through the main Register page.
How many runner slots does my company get?
Runner slots are based on your pledged amount (approximately one runner slot for every S$1,000 pledged), subject to admin approval. Your corporate dashboard shows how many slots have been filled.
How does our contact person track submissions?
The registered contact person can log in to the corporate dashboard to view participant submissions, T-shirt sizes and bib numbers.
What happens to unused slots?
Unused slots simply remain unused, with no penalty. You may continue sharing your participant link until registration closes.
Will corporate teams have a fundraising leaderboard?
Yes. Corporate fundraising progress will appear alongside individual runners on the leaderboard.
Group Registration

Registering your group

How does group registration work?
Register your group under the Group category, indicating your number of adults and children (and how many children are Life Community children, whose fee is waived). Your group participant link opens immediately after submission.
Do the runners in my group need to register on the main Registration page themselves?
No. Only your group registers upfront. Your registered contact person (the group lead) shares the participant link with everyone in the group, and each runner submits their own contact details, emergency contact, T-shirt size and consent through that link.
How does our group lead track submissions?
The registered contact person can log in to the group dashboard to view participant submissions, T-shirt sizes and bib numbers.
Will my group have a fundraising leaderboard?
Yes. Group fundraising progress appears alongside individual runners, corporate teams and other categories on the leaderboard.
Runner Accounts and Activity Logging

Dashboard and profiles

How does a runner create an account?
Runners can register through the runner dashboard to create an account, update their runner profile, set fundraising and distance goals, and record activities.
Will a new profile appear publicly immediately?
Yes. Your public runner profile appears immediately after registration. Your Life Community fundraising campaign page will usually be ready within a few working days, as each campaign is individually created before donations can begin.
Can a runner change their profile photo?
Yes. Runners can choose from a selection of avatars and update their public profile information after logging in.
Leaderboard and Badges

Tracking progress and milestones

How often is the leaderboard updated?
Fundraising totals are synchronised from the Life Community fundraising platform approximately every hour. Activity and distance updates appear shortly after they’re submitted.
How do I earn badges?
Badges are automatically awarded as you achieve fundraising, participation and distance milestones throughout the campaign. Simply keep logging your activities and fundraising progress to unlock more badges.
Privacy and Safety

What is shown publicly?

Does this website track my exact running route or health data?
No. This isn’t a GPS or fitness tracking app. It simply records the run/walk activities you’ve chosen to log. We only store basic activity summaries such as the activity date, type, distance and duration. Exact routes, start/end locations, heart-rate and other health information are not publicly displayed.
What should I do before uploading a screenshot as proof?
Please upload a screenshot that clearly shows the date, distance and duration of your activity. If possible, crop out maps, home locations, route start/end points, heart-rate and any other personal information before uploading.
Who benefits from the campaign?
The campaign supports Life Community’s programmes serving children, youths and families from low-income and vulnerable backgrounds through care, mentoring and community support.
How is my personal information protected?
Your information is stored on secure, access-controlled systems, with administrative access restricted to authorised Life Community personnel. Runners, corporate contacts and administrators can also enable optional two-factor authentication for additional account security. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for more details.
Do you store my payment details?
No. We never see or store your bank or card details. Donations are processed entirely through the Life Community fundraising platform. Registration fees are paid via PayNow, and we only request a payment confirmation screenshot to verify your registration.
Can I control what information is visible to the public?
Yes. You choose your own display name, avatar and personal story. Corporate participants do not have individual public profiles — only the company’s pledge amount is displayed.
Do you share my information with third parties?
We do not sell your personal information. Your information may only be shared with service providers supporting our operations, professional advisers, auditors, insurers or government authorities where required by law. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.
